Respond specifically to petition questions or issues
A large number of petitions are met with government responses that intentionally do not address the topic or issue presented.
This tactic is frustrating and demonstrates contempt for signatories.
For example, in a recent petition calling for a debate between Jeremy hunt and junior doctors, the civil servants drafting the response fail to mention the very point of the petition - a debate between Hunt and doctors.
Instead we receive paragraph after paragraph of obfuscation and avoidance.
