Encourage employers to give more courtesy to job applicants

Petition Details

Now we have internet the majority of job applications are invited online Most employers do not give applicants the courtesy of a reply if unsuccessful. It is stressful for applicants looking for work and unacceptable that today's norm is " if you don't hear back assume we're not interested"

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. You could start a petition calling on Parliament to legislate to require all employers to reply to all applications regardless of whether they have been successful.
