Petition Action

Debate the real reason the EU wants Assad removed and the ensuing war Qatari Gas

Petition Details

In 2009 Russia switched off the Gas to the EU via Ukraine. This caused a major issue for the EU not Europe. Russia, Norway and the UK have their own gas. Syria and Russia said NO to a pipeline from Qatar via Saudi, Iraq, SYRIA, Turkey, Bulgaria to the EU. Remove Assad and the gas flows!

Additional Information

Russia and Syria are allies, Iran who own the other 1/3 of the Gas field also said no. Georgia was asked to allow the gas pipe, Russia intervened. Now Russia has stepped into back up Syria, Saudi, Qatar, Jordan, Turkey are all fighting for the gas pipe not Assad. When are OUR politicians going to tell the electorate the TRUTH about Syria. https://www.foreignaffairs.com/articles/syria/2015-10-14/putins-gas-attack and many more google Qatar Gas pipe line. EU energy crisis is killing kids!

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

It's not clear from your petition what subject you would like th eHouse of Commons to debate. In particular, the petition refers to the EU, rather than the UK Government or Parliament. We can only accept petitions about matters that the UK Government or Parliament are responsible for.

You could start a new petition calling for a debate on the role of energy supply in foreign policy and international relations.
