Local Councils must record/publish the votes of Development Control Committees.
These committees take decisions which affect our lives. Their decisions can be worth £millions to developers. The current system where votes are merely counted on a show of hands is unsatisfactory. These committees are open to fraud and corruption.
This is a zero cost proposal; no public money needs to be spent. If this proposal is adopted these committees will be more democratic and more worthy of trust from the people that they represent. Cynicism is rife regarding local government councillors. This proposal will go some way to reducing this.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We cannot accept your petition because it calls on local councils, not the UK Government or Parliament, to take action.
You could start a new petition calling on Parliament to change the law to require councils to publish records of these votes.
