Government to invest in Neuroblastoma relapse treatment(common childrens cancer)
Neuroblastoma (NB) is the most common extracranial solid cancer in childhood with an incidence of about 100 cases per year in the UK.
The chance of relapse is 80% & treatment is only available abroad costing over £500,000. Parents of sick children are appealing to the public for funding.
If treatment is available and successful in America, why is the UK not offering the same treatment to our children?
If treatment is available in America, why is the government not offering funding to help?
The government and NHS have a responsibility to the people of the UK, therefore more research into Neuroblastoma should be funded and treatment should be made available as soon as possible.
In the meantime, the government should be helping these families and their children.
