Restrict those solely living on benefits from spending on luxury items.
Those who are able to work yet are living solely on benefits (excluding disability) more than often have the same standard of life as those who work full time. Luxury items, such as alcohol, cigarettes, sky T.V., etc. should be limited for these people, ensuring the benefits are spent correctly.
There were 5.1 million working age benefit claimants at August 2014. - DWP QUARTERLY STATISTICAL SUMMARY
Current average wage in the UK is £26,500, the maximum benefit for a couple (without children) is £26,000 and an individual (without children) is £18,200. This means that after tax and national insurance, the average full time worker is only £4807 better off a year for giving up an estimated 40 hours per week.
