PENSION AGE FOR WOMEN BORN 1950-1955
Women now in their mid-fifties will not now receive state pension until age 66 giving them no time to make provision for retirement, which is totally unfair and will cost them many thousands of pounds in lost pension income. These women have already 'done their bit' by having their pension age increased from 60 to 65 (phased over a period) which already made a huge difference to their retirement plans.
The government must compensate this particular group of around half a million women so that they do not lose out.
