To clearly label, (Halal) (ritually slaughtered) meat and meat products.
(Halal) meat
Ritually slaughtered meat is routinely sold in British supermarkets, pizza outlets, fried chicken outlets, takeaways, to an uninformed British consumer,
without a clear labeling system.
This is wrong I would advocate a clear
instantly recognizable signage system.
Whilst I understand that certain religious groups require
ritually slaughtered meat,
I do not agree that (Halal) should be added to the food chain of the British public, including schools and colleges, without their knowledge.
This may suit big business profits, but I and many others would prefer to buy meat thats been ethically killed, there is also a large amount of British consumers, concerned with animal welfare issues.
all I am demanding is clear labeling, on all Halal products.
