Petition Action

Hold our PMQs to higher moral standards

Petition Details

On the 24/02/15 during prime minister's question time: the behaviour from both sides of the parliament including the PM was atrocious.

The prime minister said his mother would ask the Labour leader to "put on a proper suit, do up your tie and sing the national anthem".

Additional Information

This kind of childish and bullying behaviour has no role in politics. Cameron should apologise to Labour leader Corbyn for such a personal insult.

Furthermore the speaker should revisit the codes of conduct with in PMQs with all parties in the houses of parliament.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition in its current form as it does not call for a clear action from the UK Government and Parliament. It's clear that you are concerned about the conduct of Prime Minister's Questions in the House of Commons. However, it is not clear what action you would like to be taken to change this. You could start a new petition calling for a specific reform.
