Girls should be able to do the sports that boys do in PE and vice versa
Many girls believe that Physical Education in schools around the globe is sexist. Boys are allowed to play rugby and football, cricket etc, girls don't get that opportunity. As much as it is sexist towards girls, some boys would enjoy trying dance, netball, rounders etc. Can this be changed?
We believe that in secondary schools, students do not get an equal chance at trying a variety of sports. Many girls in our secondary school wish to have the chance to play rugby and football in PE. We understand that there are school clubs and local clubs for girls for predominantly male sports but most of us have other commitments and do not have the time to attend these clubs and we wish to have the chance to play these sports in PE.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
It's up to individual schools to decide how to run their PE classes. You could raise this issue with your school's governing body.
Alternatively, you could start a new petition calling on the Government to require schools to offer the same PE opportunities to all pupils, regardless of gender.
