Equal NHS IVF criteria for every county.
Infertility is a heartbreaking illness any couple can go through.Made even more stressful by CCG's criteria varying so much throughout each county. For many various reasons such as partners having a child/ren from a previous relationships can be denied NHS funding from their CCG'S.
I think it is morally unfair that a CCG can deny a couple NHS IVF funding if one of you has a child from a previous relationship.Every person should have the right to be a parent.
It was a horrible shock when my husband were denied NHS IVF (by Dorset) when our GP informed us we would be funded. What has made it more difficult is two county's (Somerset&Wiltshire) both a few miles from us would have approved IVF funding for us.
I urge the government to end this postcode lottery.
