Petition Action

Scrap 29th February & create a mid-summer '32nd July' bank holiday

Petition Details

For too long have employers had their tricksy way, sneaking in an extra day's work every 4 years for the same annual wage.
I propose that this day is taken back, by force if necessary, & moved to the middle of our annual 9 days of sunshine (aka. Summer) so we can actually do something cool with it.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We're not sure exactly what action you would like the Government to take.

You could start a petition asking for a new Bank Holiday on 1 August every leap year.
