Stop the government outlawing catch-up TV
Culture Secretary John Whittingdale is aiming to pass a law through as soon as possible, to mandate those who watch Catch-Up services to have to pay the extortionate TV licence.
This licence is £145.50 per year and covers watching TV and radio as it is broadcast.
Those watching catch-up services often watch one or two programmes per month. Charging the high cost of a yearly TV licence is unfair, and the BBC should not have laws mandating those watching programmes should pay.
A small fee per year for those watching catch-up services is much more preferable to the cost of a yearly fee.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
As we understand it, the Government is not "outlawing" catch up TV.
If you would like the Government not to introduce a requirement that people hold a TV licence in order to use the BBC iPlayer, you could start a petition asking for that.
