Reduce the duty on alcohol for licensed public houses, offset by an increase in duty on supermarket alcoholic sales

Additional Information

Reducing the alcohol levy for licensed public houses will provide a much needed boost for the UK pub industry and encourage responsible drinking. Increasing the levy on supermarket sales should balance the tax generated and reduce the excessive purchasing currently inherent in the UK.
