I would like more to be done for homeless people after a man sleeping rough died
Very recently a man died after sleeping rough in Liverpool city centre. His name was Simon and he was only 33 years old and why did he die, because he was homeless and was reduced to sleeping in a doorway even through the extremely cold winter. Why weren't he given a warm bed and safe place to stay
These are basic human rights and sadly there are many women, men and families homeless and left to die in the streets without any help. Should we not help these people before we offer out help elsewhere when people in this country are freezing and starving to death right before our very eyes . This is heartbreaking and these people need your help. This story was printed in the Liverpool Echo were a vigil was held for Simon and many volunteers offered food to the homeless people sleeping rough

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition in its current form as it does not call for a clear action from the UK Government and Parliament. You could start a petition calling for the Government to fund more homeless shelters, or to fund the building of social housing for homeless people, or take some other specific action to help people who are homeless.
