Build an ice rink in Southampton
We are a group of students from Hampshire. Our ice rink was destroyed in late August 1998. Therefore, we have created a petition in order to gain support from the local community to reinstate an ice rink in the Southampton area.
After winning a global civil engineering competition to design a sports venue for a local community, we caught the attention of the Southampton Ice Dance & Figure Skating Club. They are in contact with a few developers who are interested in building an ice rink. The Secretary of this club, Edna Boden, has been campaigning for the return of an ice rink in the area for over 28 years.

You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This would be a decision for private companies and/or your local council.
You could raise this with a local councillor, who represents you. You can use this page to find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them: www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillor
Your local council also has a petitions process - you can find out more about it here:
