The Policing Budget
The submission of this petition is that whilst it might technically be possible to have more policemen on the beat after the intended cuts, such a state of affairs is untenable.
You can only get so many hours of duty out of a body of men before you exhaust them or convince them to seek alternative employment.
The police budget must be increased, not reduced, and more officers obtained to police our streets.
We, the public, will not accept the proposed police budget cuts.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
