Petition Action

Allow constituencies to vote on whether cannabis should be legalised there.

Petition Details

The government has decided that a nationwide legalisation of cannabis is not on the cards, so perhaps a constituency by constituency ruling could be an alternative. A more democratic way that would allow the trialling of a regulated market in small areas first.

Additional Information

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

You could start a petition calling on Parliament to change the law, to make local councils responsible for the law on cannabis in their area.
