Stop the government reducing benefit by £30 pw fromdisabled peoplewho can'twork.
The Lords tried to reject this bill but on the second reading the government pushed it through on the grounds of statutory financial concern. It is an arbitrary cut by a prejudiced Chancellor. Lord Low said "lt is a black day for disabled people"
Baroness Campbell said,"Our arguments, in my view, were pretty indisputable, especially in regard to the absence of evidence that cutting severely disabled people’s ESA would incentivise them to work."
“I think we all know deep down inside that it is attitudinal and environmental discrimination that really prevents this group from accessing employment
This proves that the government is completely out of touch with an extremely vulnerable social group. Or perhaps they just don't care.
