Allowing children to take mobile phones into school as a safety precaution
Please support this petition in allowing secondary schools to allow children to take mobile phones into school. These are a must for children nowadays when travelling to and from school in light of the growing reported attempted abductions in the local area.
My daughter has today had her phone confiscated for 7 days, I have advised the school that she requires this device in order to travel safely to and from school and to contact me if necessary in an emergency. They refuse to allow this back to her.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Mobile phone policy in schools is the responsibility of individual schools. You could raise this with the school's governing body.
