make prospective MPs declare if they are on the sex offenders register .
all prospective parliamentary candidates should declare on all election literature, flyers posters etc if they have ever been convicted of a sexual offence and if they are, or have ever been, on the sex offenders register
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Prospective MPs are the responsibility of political parties, not of the Government or Parliament.
If you would like the law to be changed, to require anyone standing to be elected to Parliament to declare whether they are on the sex offenders' register, you could start a new petition calling for that.
