Make London a more affordable place to live in!
London has a population of over 8 million people. New developments are making it difficult for working class families to afford to live in London.
e.g. Stratford has an Olympic Stadium and an exquisite shopping centre (Westfield), and with the new developments comes new problems.
Did you know that the money spent annually on housing should be 1/5
Then why are 1.9 million families living across the UK finding it hard to pay their bills?
Did you know that more people rent than buy? Did you know that before the rent goes up, you need a 6 month warning? I bet you didn't.
The money we spend on housing has risen so much yet we stay silent.
If the rise was compared to cheeseburgers 99p and went to £1.98 (200% rise)
Would you stick around?
or worse yet,
Would you stay silent?

We can't accept your petition in its current form as it does not call for a clear action from the UK Government and Parliament. You could start a petition calling on the Government to build more affordable homes or to regulate the private rental market.
