NO to the building of the 175 million pound pedestrian Garden Bridge in London.
£60 million of public money has been pledged to build this completely superfluous bridge and in this age of budget cuts, this is a colossal waste of money for one of the greenest cities in the world. This pedestrian bridge will precede Waterloo Bridge and is in memory of Princess Diana.
London has 35,000 acres of public green spaces equivalent to 40% of London's surface area, making London one of the greenest cities in the world. Spending £60 million of tax payers money on another green space is ludicrous.
