Petition Action

Put a stop to the Government culture of lying to the electorate.

Petition Details

Over the last 20 years, the UK government has increasingly used lies, smear and spin in presenting its case. Voters are being systematically misled on a wide range of issues. Truth and honesty are being sacrificed in a disgusting series of Government-driven attempts to subvert democratic processes.

Additional Information

A good example is the recent assertions about the Canadian/EU trade deal, which has taken 7 years and has resulted in an imperfect deal for the UK. Cameron would have us believe that a Post-Brexit deal would be slower and less perfect - but the reverse is certain to be the case, given that such a trade deal would have only two parties to accommodate instead of 29!

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition in its current form as it does not call for a clear action from the UK Government and Parliament. You could start a petition with a specific action for the UK Government and Parliament to take.
