Petition Action

I ask Parliament to debate a vote of no confidence in the current Government.

Petition Details

The recent resignation of Iain Duncan Smith and in fighting within HM Government, failed election pledges and revelations in the press that "austerity cuts" delibrately targeted non Tory Voters it is time that the the Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011 was enacted and a vote of no confidence is raised.

Additional Information

A no confidence vote was last successfully used on 28th March 1979, when the minority government of James Callaghan was defeated in a confidence motion which read "That this House has no confidence in Her Majesty's Government".

Before 1979 the last successful motion of no confidence occurred in 1924.

This current government is no longer fit for purpose or fit to run our country.
