Petition Action

Penalize MPs at the dispatch box for the refusal to answer questions.

Petition Details

Any MP at the dispatch box or in a debate within Houses of Parliament, regardless whether Prime Minister, member of cabinet or back bench MP must answer all questions honestly. If for some reason the information can not be made public then they must say so. If they do not know then say so.

Additional Information

Watching recent Prime Ministers questions and the budget debate, many times questions were not answered or blatantly ignored. Making the point of the debate useless. The Speaker of the House must ensure all Qs are answered at least. Planted Qs should be banned, allowing more Qs to hold the Government of the day to account.
The British public are being failed by incorrect or no information coming from our Politicians.
The Speaker of the House must fine/penalise who ever refuse.
