Overturn decision to repeal farm animal welfare codes

Petition Details

We, the undersigned, object to the government's decision to transfer regulatory power of poultry farming to the meat industry.

We believe in the basic comfort and welfare of animals, and furthermore we believe that the UK has a responsibility to set a standard of ethics for the rest of the world.

Additional Information

We also demand a safe and healthy food market with protection against malpractice such as the horse meat scandal, and epidemics such as salmonella, foot and mouth, and campylobacter.
