The Government must recognise that Pakistan is a dangerous place for Christians
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office should recognise that Pakistan is a dangerous place for Christians, and the Immigration Service should take that into account when considering Asylum applications from Pakistani Christians; likewise for other non-Muslim groups in Pakistan.
This year's Easter Sunday bombing, targeted at Christians, is tragically just the latest in a long line of lynchings, church-bombings and house-burnings. In practice there is little or no protection of religious minorities by the authorities; perpetrators know they are more likely to be praised than prosecuted. See the list of atrocities on the Wikipedia page "Christianity in Pakistan". Search for Pakistan in the web pages of Barnabas Fund or Christian Solidarity Worldwide.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition in its current form as it does not call for a clear action from the UK Government and Parliament. You could start a petition calling on the Foreign Office to issue travel advice to Christian UK citizens travelling to Pakistan, or a petition calling on the Government to take into account the faith of Pakistani Christians when they make asylum claims.
