Change the process through which referendums are held

Petition Details

The entire electorate to be given an automatic vote in favour of the status quo. Only those wishing to change the status quo should be required to register an alternative vote.

Additional Information

In this way if 51% + of the electorate is motivated to get out and vote a clear mandate for change is demonstrated. Anything else is undemocratic and simply counts those motivated to actively vote, even when they didn't ask for any change to begin with. Only those opposed to majority rule would be against this.
