Free prescriptions to full time students!

Petition Details

I am a full time student at the University of York, Suffering from eczema I have to buy prescriptions, Im not the only person in this position, many conditions aren't 'severe' enough to make them valid for exemption. The charge keeps increasing making it difficult to afford especially as a student.

Additional Information

The current charge is £8.20, and is set to increase to £8.40 in April, this former seem like much but when you need one a month it all adds up! For a prepaid prescription to be worth while you need to have 13 prescriptions a year, so in many cases this is done, yet that's still a lot of money to pay out as a student who has very limited income!
