Petition Action

Block bills from being passed without public knowledge, or news coverage.

Petition Details

Since the Tories farce of a victory, they have passed multiple bills illegally without public knowledge - Which is an upfront to our democratic government as it doesn't allow oppositional approach to the bill, meaning the public has no vote or say of opinion against bills secretly passed through.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition in its current form as it does not call for a clear action from the UK Government and Parliament. All bills must pass through Parliament in order to become law, and all the formal decisions and debates in Parliament are public.

You can view the details of all bills on the Parliament website (http://services.parliament.uk/bills/) and all debates on bills can be watched online at: http://www.parliamentlive.tv.

The UK Government and Parliament are not responsible for the news coverage legislation receives; that is an editorial decision for media outlets.
