Parliament provide funds to councils for dogs found, need holding kennels
Police do not take found dogs, Wardens finish at 6pm. Councils need the funding from parliament for holding kennels and more dog wardens out of hours. Micro chipping by law 6/4/16 no one to check microchip out of hours.roaming dogs can cause accidents and may attack people or other dogs.
With the micro chipping becoming imminent on 6/4/16 dogs found out of hrs will not be able to be checked for micro chip due to dog wardens finishing work at 6pm , the police no longer taking found dogs and vets closing around 6pm. Parliament please debate this issue for funding for local councils to be able to pay for more out of hours dog wardens and to have holding kennels for found dogs. If this isnt done we will have dogs roaming causing accidents on the roads and possibly attacking people
