Decriminalise abortion in Northern Ireland immediately.
Last week, Donald Trump remarked that women who have abortions should be punished somehow. Rightly, this was met with a widely publicised outcry of condemnation. Yet in Northern Ireland, women are punished for having abortions, because it is a criminal offence. This must change. Now.
"Today, in the United Kingdom, a woman has been found guilty of having an abortion. It’s a horrifying idea – one which should have been long relegated to the annals of history, but which is sadly still the reality for a woman living in Northern Ireland in 2016." - The Independent.

This law must change. Abortion should be immediately decriminalised.
