Fair assessment by VOA on the non-domestic rating in the area.

Petition Details

We are a small family run business, we have a small office in Whitechapel. Back in October 2015 we appealed for the non domestic rating to be reassessed as we, as do others believe the rates are too high for certain premises that have less square meters.

Additional Information

Collectively a group of us renting or otherwise in ownership of premises within the locality believe that the rateable value is not fair for small businesses and the larger premises pay equally as much of less. There does not seem to be any parity and for some of us, we pay more in the non domestic rating than we do the rent.
