Petition Action

Spend an equal amount of money on 'Leave' campaign leaflets

Petition Details

The UK government has just spent £9 million on creating leaflets for the 'Stay' campaign. The government needs to realise that they are not providing fair information to the public and are contradicting their pledge to educate the UK public on the EU by not providing fair un-biased information

Additional Information

"The EU Referendum Act 2015 commits the Government to provide information to the public on EU membership ahead of the vote, and that is what we will do." A quote from the government recently which helps show the public that they are in fact contradicting themselves and in fact lying to the public. Considering the 'Panama Papers' which were released lately, can the government really afford more lies to the public?

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition in its current form as it does not call for a clear action from the UK Government and Parliament. You could start a petition calling on the Government to use any public money to publish documents which make the case for the UK leaving the EU.
