Ban the grand national and other sporting events where animals are harmed
The grand national is a sporting event where not only are the animals encouraged to be whipped but are put through a grueling task of jumping at high speeds in tough terrain. Many horses are injured or killed due to this one race and many more are hurt through similar races This has to stop.
Wikipedia lists 11 deaths since 2000 as a direct result of the grand national. This is 11 too many, however the actual list of deaths is much higher (around 40-50) as the horses are eventually put down "due to complications".

If you would like to start a more general petition, you could start a new petition calling for a ban on all sporting events in which animals have been harmed.
