Freeze the assets of those evading paying UK taxes exposed in the Panama Papers.
If a person or corporation is under suspicion of evading UK taxes by virtue of using a shell company recently exposed by Mossack Fonseca, leaked in the commonly called Panama Papers. Then those assets should be immediately frozen to stop them being transferred to another jurisdiction.
Further the UK should seek to exert international influence to bring to light any other individuals or corporations that have evaded paying taxes in their respective countries. So that they too can be repatriated back to their citizens.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
In any case, we're not sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take. The state already has powers to freeze assets under the Terrorist Asset Freezing etc. Act 2010, the Counter Terrorism Act 2008 and Anti-Terrorism, Crime and Security Act 2001.
You could start a new petition asking for the state's asset freezing powers to be extended, but you will need to specify what additional powers you would like to be granted by Parliament. You'll need to give your full name to start a petition.
