Limit rail fare increases to inflation only
Stop the automatic right for train companies to increase their fares above the rate of inflation.
Some areas will see increases of more than 10%, yet based on past performance to date, there is likely to be very little visible improvement in services to justify this.
At a time when thousands of workers have been made redundant or have received pay cuts, it's about time that the train companies stopped being so profit greedy and instead re-invested any profit rather than relying on an automatic fare increase.
