Petition Action

give £9million of tax payers money to the Brexit the Campaign.

Petition Details

The Prime Minister assured the British public that it would be a Free and Fair Referendum, so the "fair" thing to do would be to give Brexit £9million to put their side in a 16 page leaflet sent to every household in the country stating the "facts" for leaving.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Government does not have the power to make £9.3m of taxpayers money available to the campaigns for leaving the EU, as the Government is not considered a permitted participant under the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000, meaning it cannot donate to campaign groups.

You might be interested in signing the following petition, calling on the government to make the case for leaving the EU on its leaflets: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/126854
