Petition Action

The Government should sell the Palace of Westminster to the highest bidder and relocate parliament to a disused cinema.

Additional Information

The Government continually tells us, the public we must endure hardships caused by Government mismanagement and being held to ransom by the Banks.

It is therefore time for politicians to do something positive to alleviate the debt crisis: The entire Palace of Westminster should be sold to the highest bidder and Parliament relocated to a disused cinema, preferably in a decayed inner city area.

Parliament is no more than a debating chamber that does not require the ornate surroundings of the Palace of Westminster to function; indeed, by being surrounded by such flamboyant opulence it could be argued removes our politicians not only from the realities of the decayed society they have created but also removes them from any accountability to the public they ostensibly represent.
