all publications big and small should offer a commission for photographers
many parts of the media ask for photos to be sent in, then re-sell the images due to their in my opinion unfair t and c's with no commission to the original photographer who has spent their time and outlay in getting the image, this also has a negative impact of photographer vacancies
there are a lot of terms and conditions in local papers and nationals that if you read them as even an amateur photographer or even a casual snapper whose just used their phone may not know.
Effectively allow the media to be able to sell or use your images with no reimbursement to the original snapper/photographer this to me is unfair they make thousands on the images the original photographer gets his name mentioned how can this be fair
