Stop the BBC staff having their lunch funded by the British TV licence payer
The staff at the BBC currently claim their meal allowance when they work a late shift. This is funded by the UK licence payer. Public and emergency services cannot do this and work unsocial hours so why should the BBC be any different. They should provide their own meals
As recently reported by the evening standard the staff at the BBC are up in arms about having their lunch budget cut from £16 to £10. This is for staff who work u social hours. No emergency services or public sector workers who work unsocial hours get this payment so he BBC staff should fund their own meals

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally independent of government and there is no provision for the government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations. You might like to write to the BBC to make this suggestion.
