Stop 39 week waiting period for mortgage interest payments

Petition Details

From 1/04/16 the government has implemented a 39 week waiting period for mortgage interest payment support.
This means that people like myself who have always worked and paid into the system but now can not work through no fault of their own such as cancer risk losing their property

Additional Information

From 1 April 2016 the waiting period until you receive any payment will increase from 13 to 39 weeks for new claims.Reference DWP website
