Free from jail SAS war hero Albert Patterson who served our country for 22 years
Albert Patterson served 22 years in the SAS and parachute regiment, he took home a 9mm handgun from the Falklands war to remind him of 22 of his friends who died - for this Albert was sentenced to 15 months in prison. It is absolutely disgraceful how those who fought for our country are treated.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Government and Parliament are not responsible for releasing people from prison. You could ask the Government to ask the Queen to exercise the prerogative of mercy.
You could also start a new petition calling on Parliament to change the law, to prevent cases like this happening in the future. This is likely to be more effective than asking for a court sentence to be overturned.
