Extend the HM Forces rail card to Veterans.
The Forces Rail Card, for a fee of £15, gives 1/3 off rail travel. This petition seeks to extend the scheme to those in receipt of a military pension. To support those who have given a minimum of 16 years of military service, understanding that to open it to all veterans would be too costly.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This is the responsibility of the Association of Train Operating Companies and not the UK Government and Parliament. You could start a petition calling on the Government to introduce and fund a Forces rail card for veterans.
