Allow the public to vote in petitions addressed to the government.
If a petition recieves sufficiant signatures then it should be put to a public vote. This system works very well in Switzerland.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition in its current form as it does not call for a clear action from the UK Government and Parliament. You could start a petition calling on the UK Government and Parliament to introduce a petitions system which can trigger a referendum.
