Requirement for all owners to keep their dogs on leads in public spaces.
Over the past 12 years of riding my horse in public spaces, I have encountered multiple dog attacks, some of which were extremely dangerous and others which cause unwanted confrontation. I know that I am not the only person who has suffered and I do not wish for this to continue for anyone...
This problems does not only affect me, I know of many other horse riders, cyclists, runners, responsible dog walkers and parents with children who have been attacked by loose dogs. I believe that public spaces would be a much safer place if all dogs were kept on leads. Please help me to prevent any more injuries being sustained to both human and animal. This petition is to raise awareness of the problem and encourage respect between all parties so everyone can enjoy public spaces, everywhere.
