Remove the indirect sex discrimination from the new junior doctors contract.
Deem the technically lawful but blatant sex discrimination in the equality impact assessment done on the new contract for junior doctors in England unworthy. Require the government to address the adverse impact of the nodal pay model on those working part-time under the new contract.

"80. Insofar as the nodal pay model may disadvantage women working part-time (as compared with the hypothetical position under the existing contract) we consider
25 that this is consistent with the principle of pay based on level of responsibility that
underpins the new contract. Any indirect adverse effect which may occur is a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim."
Note: The careful use of the term "indirect" to avoid falling foul of technical illegality, the wording falls foul of the spirit of the legislation but not the form.
