Tougher sanctions on Tourettes Discrimination in the workplace

Petition Details

300,000 people in the UK alone have Tourettes Syndrome. It is involuntary, can be induced by stress and currently discriminated against in the workplace and in interviews. Brought to light by the BBC's 'Employable Me'.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition in its current form as it does not call for a clear action from the UK Government and Parliament. It is already an offence to discriminate against people with Tourette's Syndrome in the workplace, under the Equality Act 2010.

You could start a petition calling for specific additional sanctions for discrimination.
