Get the BBC to bring back weekly television chart programme Top of the Pops
This is NOT a joke petition. Top of the Pops is a show loved by people from all backgrounds. Prominent figures in entertainment have increasingly called for its return, and BBC4 reruns enjoy good ratings. I urge the Culture Secretary to seriously consider this motion - TOTP is a national treasure.

The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
